These days, it would seem that high-tech gifts are on every man’s holiday wish-list. Sales of drones, phones, virtual reality glasses and tablets are soaring (no pun intended) as big boy toys have moved from the garage to the game room.
In this era of digital, visual, instant and electronic, have you considered that maybe the man in your life might just appreciate finding gifts with a more personal touch in his Christmas stocking?
Back-to-Basics!
As we have noted before, there is a rising trend among men, who for many years have prided themselves on their strength and fitness, who are becoming increasingly aware of not only their physical health and prowess but of their grooming health and appearance. So how about considering a gift for that well-groomed man in your life? Here are a couple of ideas to get you started:
- Beard-grooming kit: Well-trimmed beards are all the rage, and sports figures and businessmen alike are showing off their fashionable facial hair. So, why not give him a kit that he can use every day? The perfect kit might contain items such as trimming scissors, a comb, a beard and face wash, a beard and scruff softener, a revitalizing beard oil and a beard brush. You can make up your own kit or buy one pre-assembled and help keep him dapper and trim for the holiday season and the New Year!
- Nose hair trimmer: OK, so maybe it sounds kind of silly, but no well-groomed man wants to have hair growing out of his nose. You can even find a combo kit for his nose and ears!
- Electric toothbrush: Keep his pearly whites white and give him a great electric toothbrush to use every day! And, while you are at it, make sure he keeps his tongue clean and give him a TUNG Brush and Gel set too! It will keep his breath clean and you can tell him you will be happy to meet him under the mistletoe!
Put it all together!
How about giving him a nice Toiletry Bag or Dopp Kit? (Fun Fact – a Dopp Kit is a term particularly in use in America for toiletry bags. The name comes from from leather craftsman Charles Doppelt, whose company designed the case in 1926.) Whether it is for travel or just for keeping all of his grooming goodies organized at home, this will be the gift that keeps on giving regardless of his changing looks!)
Take it outside the home!
Now that he is all “dressed up” – how about giving him “someplace to go”? A gift of an experience is another way to tell the man in your life you appreciate him. Is a zip-lining or sky-diving adventure on his bucket list? Maybe his favorite band is coming to town or there is a new restaurant he has been dying to try? You know him best, so just keep an open mind, listen to any hints he may throw out there and act accordingly. And, for the man who has everything…there is always a singing snowman tie!
Happy Holidays!!!
